The use of alcohol software is to burn the compact disc(CD) and also for creating a virtual drive.

I have never know that these many free softwares are available for burning the CD. My friends are using Nero burner. It is nice. But it is not free. I will recommend my friends to try any one of this free softwares.

Well I am not sure that alcohol is free or not.

I never use it. I use Nero Ultra Edition.

alcohol 120% is not freeware, i just check from download.com, it cost $40 to buy.
but i found another version also - alcohol 52%, i not sure what is this, i never heard this

That is true buddy when you can do the same thing with freewares, why should we go to shareware but I guess shareware has more advanced and fast options...

Not true. It's not because something is freeware it's better than something else.
I mean with this that freeware can be even better than shareware programs.
I prefer freeware of course :P.

Yes, but freeware can be good enough .

I never paid for programs, I'm happy with all freeware because I call it 'waste' if you buy shareware :S.

Well frankly speaking I always take friends shareware or even download from net the serials and stuff...!! have paid for few softwares only which I find useful in daily life...!!

Usually I start with freeware or trial version. If I am finding that worth buying, i will be trying to get it from my friends. If my friends are not having that, I will buy that and share that with my friends.

same here, i would start with their trial for a month and decide if i want to upgrade. but normally i dun and would trial around a few products and that would meet my needs

Well 1 bug remains in certain softwares that even if you are using trial, you can uninstall and install the software again and can use for certain trial period again and goes on like this.
