How to utilize blog?

I like write on my blog and promote several sites on blog. It is not easy to me to deal with it. I do not know how to get real traffic. I tried for some time however the result is not good. Maybe i shoud find more useful programme on it?

These are some ways that I used to promote my blog:
1. Put the link of your blog in the forum signature, so other members may click and visit it.
2. Visit others' blogs and leave comments in their blogs, hope they will return a visit to your blog too.
3. Join some traffic exchange program, such as EntreCard.

Well, but these take time to get more traffic to your blog, also you need to spend some time with it. I'm also learning how to get more traffic to my blog. I've heard that "content" is the most important key that attracts the visitors, so we have to make our blogs interesting and readable, so it'll attract more people to read and re-visit.

Do not be discouraged right away because blog site promotion really takes time and hard work. Utilize forums by posting in them and link your blogs. Do it regularly to be able to get good results in time. And also, do not just place message that look like spam because you will surely be disliked by the forum moderators and admin. Keep going buddy!

Keep commenting on other blogs in your nice and use entrecard till you get more than 150 visitors to your blog. Then switch to some ad method using cpm ads.that will help.

Ad Method using cpm ads? Well, that's good as long as you have the budget for it..

Hi,

A blog is always an intresting way to optimise. May be it take some time and hard work initially, but it provide some good results.

Always try to add some new content in the blog or update it regularly. Try some blog directories also.

Commenting on other blog is also a nice practise.

And the most important thing is to avoid spam on your blog.

that was what i was thinking too. i have several blogs and im promoting some sites but i can't get enough clicks from other online users. let's just hope that we can find a great programme for our endeavor.

Try some traffic exchange programs, such as EntreCard.
I was using EntreCard for getting traffic to my site, it's a 1-to-1 traffic, if I am not mistaken. The concept is you visit one site, and you'll get a visitor to your site. From there, you can get visitors to your site, as there are many EntreCard members. Also, you'll get to browse many sites that are interesting, you can also leave some comments in those sites, then hopefully they will always pay your site a visit too.

Entrecard can be very much helpful but then most of the time, your visitor really don't give time to read the contents of your blog instead they just focused on dropping. So that is one of the disadvantage of Entrecard.

Yeah, I guess this is the disadvantage of any traffic exchange program, we can't force others to read our blog. That's why it's important for us to make our contents interesting and then only it'll attract the visitors to leave us a comment or return visit later. When I am dropping cards, if I find interesting blogs, I will just leave a comment or bookmark them. Hopefully the blog owners will come and visit my blog too.

Yes, I always do this when I have time. Though it's quite time consuming as we need to read the blog posts, it really does bring me some visitors to my site and some comments too. Also, if the visitors like our blogs, they will actually subscribe or bookmark our blogs, and it's like forming a community, we will just visiting each other's blog. Also, when someone see your comment in other blogs, they may visit your site too. That's why I always think it's good to leave a comment.

Yeah right! Make the blog interesting and it will surely attract visitors. But then like what i've said, there are just few people who really matters about reading and stuff.

Same here, i always find time to read and leave a comment when i find the post interesting. It's a good way to exchange comments from other bloggers.

Just post very familiar and recent news whatever it may be. So that you will get more traffic . And of course u need to do everyday.

Yeah, this is a very good suggestion. When something happened or popular at the moment, many people are performing the search, and if we blog about it, and our blogs might get listed and visited too. For example, I suppose many people are talking about Google may pull out from China, if we write about this, then I think we can get more traffic to our blog.
In that case, we gotta be very updated by the news related to our blog too.

it depends on how serious are you are if you are serious in blogging you cabn participate on forums and social networking site like blogcatalog or you can comment on other blog to create awareness of your blog

You don't have to do it everyday actually. If you don't have anything to write in your blog then don't put anything. try to search on some search engines about blog traffics. make sure to be specific in your blog titles for most searchers are very sensitive to it. they want specific titles for that.

Publish new content at least 1 to 2 a week.

And basically it's rinse and repeat, keep consistent. Track your keywords and SERPs and if they are not working tweak them.
