How to make your blog popular?

How can i make my blog even popular so that the probability of clicking ads increases?

If you are using adsense then you can get a fair amount of clicks. But it mainly depends on the content and the placement of your ads.

Try to put the ads where visitors mostly notice like in between posts. Top of the page Top of the Right or left sidebar.
Don't put the ads at the footer since many visitors don't scroll to the bottom.

It takes time for it to work but the CPC will be very high if you follow the steps.

Try to experiment where you get more CPC by changing the placement of the ads. Many people like the concept of blending their ads with their background so that it seems to be like the content of the page.

And regarding promoting your blogs, try to be register your blog with google webmasters site. Submit your blog to different directories, Use social networking sites, Twitter is most recommend.

It takes time but eventually you will know how to make more money.!

I think it is not about the content of the blog but how you market your blog that will matter. Most of us spend a lot of time making beautiful contents in our blog but no matter how fantastic it is it won't matter if people don't know about it.
So to make your blogs popular, spend 80% of your time marketing, 20% on the content.

Well if you don't provide good content to the visitors and market your blog, then no visitor will visit your blog after one visit.

I was thinking about this, and I remembered that I used to have a quite popular blog. Well, because the title of this thread wasn't "how to make your blog popular in shor time" so I would share how I made my blog popular in 6 months. LOL.
The first time I got addicted to blogging, I posted the content almost everyday for 3 months, and at least 4 times a week the next months. I joined local blogger forums (because my blog was in Indonesian) and then blogwalking for hours everyday. People keep coming and sometimes I can make link exchange through the blogwalking (and some loyal visitors too).
I could make about 40 - 50 unique visitor a day which for me is quite good for a personal 6 month old blog.

the blog is gone now, btw. LOL

Post videos that will help your visitors learn something new. Also submit them to video sharing websites like YouTube.com. And you can also do to
write about your hobbies and interests.

Well, what you did brought a good result to your blog.. Blog walking and exchanging comments can help..

But why is it that the blog gone now?

If your blog is personal then writing about hobbies and interests are good idea.. That can make a connection to your visitors/readers..

Videos is a big help.. So if you have much time to make video, why not try it..

How to put the ads between posts? I just keep it on the sidebar.

Put it in your signatures and do posts everyday on the forums. it will give you many visitors, and most of my traffic is from this way.

yes, you are right there, quality content is the best thing that you could make to make your blog more popular...

Don’t just blog once a week and expect people to check in every day. That’s not fair to them, and it will just make people think you can’t be bothered. Even if you have nothing worth saying, blog at least every other day if at all possible. You can always find something clever on YouTube to entertain your readers while you attend to whatever else you have going on. These are the main things that will get your blog noticed. Social bookmarking and indexing, etc – yeah they work to a degree, but don’t even come close to what these other tips will get you. Make the effort. If you build it, they will come!

Well,I differ with the thread starter as the thread starter mentioned that more visitors in your blog means more number of clicks made to the advertisements.It is not always true as people may come to see your blog and leave without clicking anything.

I don't think that being "not fair" is the right term.. The reason why you need to write article or post twice or thrice a week to show to your readers that your blog or blogs still exist and it still active.. In my case, I don't like to visit a blog which is the latest post is from last month.. And that would lead me to not visit back that kind of blog.. So in order to keep your visitors and readers, you need to post interesting and up to date posts..


I very much agree.. There are just visitors who only like to read interesting posts and leave with just a comment or sometimes nothing.. But still, the possibility is high for them to click a few advertisements..

I think both marketing your blog and giving good content both ate important.You must have good amount of content in your blog then you should market your blog.

To be popular first of all you need to have a very interesting topic for blogging, you may have a good blog, well designed, having good content but you need to advertise if you need to show your the best. Another way you need to comment on the popular blogs and getting links, register in community sites etc.
