why google chrome crashes too often?

i am use google chrome from couple of month..and its my defaults web browser ..but i have a problem with it. It comes up with a pop up saying Google Chrome has become unresponsive, close now. I want it to work like it used to again..and it always crashes when i try to listen music online . I have uninstalled it and everything. Nothing have fix that it crashes so often.does you guys face same problem with chrome?...

I have never heard anyone who has this problem. I have been using Google Chrome since it first came out and use nothing else. What are the specs of your machine, etc.?

i am using windows xp service pack 2,...and many of them facing this problem ,just google out about chrome crashes,you can find many posts about this. buddy....btw welcome to the forum...

Thanks for the welcome.

I have only used Chrome with Windows Vista, 7 and Linux. Never XP. I checked with a friend of mine who uses XP and says he has never had a problem. Being a Chrome fan I'm interested to see how this goes.

I used google Chrome all the time as well but i do not experience like that. With Mozilla firefox, sometimes yes.. but with Chrome, it did not happen to met yet. I am wondering what could be the reason for that

Google chorme is quite stable and it respond faster than other browser. The only problem i found is the google chrome shockwave crash, it happens quite frequent if too many flash are loading. Not sure whether you are talking about the shockwave crash.

I do think that the problem exist in XP,
which there is billion of bugs over there.
XP is the worst OS that I ever used.

yes it may be problem with my OS...i agree xp has lot of bug's......vista,w7 is lot better than xp...i am going to change os soon!!!

Well i guess you are right. It might be with the Operating System. I have been using XP for so long but i never experienced that Google Chrome crashes when i use it. But i think kranthirockz should check his OS, maybe the problem is there.

I tried all XP, Vista and 7,
it seem that none of them really stable,
but if you have enough RAM,
Vista is still alright.
I got 3GB RAM in my laptop and Vista still not giving too many problem.
My Gf'a laptop is W7 with 2GB RAM,
and it crash a lot.
Better double think before you choose 1.

I believed it is RAM related issue too.
My laptop with 1GB RAM running under Vista always found crash when i opening flash using chrome
By the way, Chrome is still consider at BETA, i believed google will improve it in future

How much ram do you have?
Strangely, I only have 768mb of ram, and both Win 7 and Chrome work perfect for me

beacuse i think it is not a heavy software to use and work. it is great to work but not excellent.

I am using Google Chrome in XP and Vista, and so far I didn't find much problem with it. I have experienced the browser crashed problem when it was still in Beta version, but once it has launched officially, then it worked fine to me.
Perhaps you can send an email to Chrome support, tell them what problem you are facing and also your computer's specification. I suppose they can help you with this.

I have many browsers :

IE, FF(3.6), Chrome, Opera, Safarie

I only use FF rest is for web design and i must say opera and chrome have already crashed in the <5hours i used them and IE is annying and slow imo.

But i think there are many happy chrome users so i can't imagine you would use a browser that crashes all the time.

but the one that crash the most often is IE which is the worst browser.
My Opera did crash before,
but not the latest update.
Chrome work well for me too,
or maybe I use them not very often,
so not much problem show up yet.

So if a browser crashes too often, then just like what other replies above said that the problem is with the system of the computer. I agree with you, IE is the worst browser..

Did you knew FF is based on the old netscape browser

It's the script engine based on that,
but that also mean FF run script very well,
cause Javascript is original add-on of netscape that stole by IE with lot of error.
I think the reason Opera crash on your computer might not all because of Opera problem.
Heave loaded program may crash because of the OS unable to run it.
So the ball is kicked back to Windows.
There is chances that it's caused by the flash add-on.
