Default Google New Look

Ok today I wake up and see something different about my Google's homepage.Only have google logo, a input box and 2 buttons. Where all the others features ? When you move your cursor, you will see the other stuff will fade in. See in this video. You can tryout yourself and google homepage now.

yes i had also the same problem.
but after seeing this i understood that it is a new look of google.
this fading is quite slow, if the pace increases then it would be good

Actually, i usually open the google homepage but then i did not really notice it, maybe because i was busy with other things and i didn't even try to see the changes.. lol.. After reading this post and watching the video, i tried opening google and that was the time i noticed it!

Yeah, me too! Though I've been using Google to perform search many times a day, I didn't notice the change until I read this post. I'm not that observant.
I do prefer the new look, as most of the time I only need to key in my search keyword and hit the button. I do not really bother about other functions in the google page.

Same here, i am not that being too observant as well! lol .. I should say that i like the new change of the homepage of google.. At least, there's something new!

well the first time i've seen it i liked it it's simple there are no annoying advertiser unlike the yahoo homepage

Yeah, I think Google always has the simple and clean concept, and hence it makes the page loads faster. For a web user who likes to surf around without a target in mind, perhaps Yahoo homepage is good, as you can check out the interesting stuffs displayed in the homepage. Whereas, for the users who already know what to search for, Google is simple and fast.

Well, Google regularly changing themes depending on the occasion an depending on an important day.

That's right.. I always notice that. If there's an occasion, they tend to change the look of Google Homepage. I find that nice!

well i use the search bar on mozilla often so never realized this. but when i went to the homepage it seems that google introduced new fading text.

Nice that google has something new for its user on every occasions.

Yahoo also do that but instead of a static image, they use flash images.

Well yeah, but since i don't use Yahoo all the time, i don't notice the changes immediately. How about other Search Engines, do they have this kind of changes to their site every now and then?

I don't know. My homepage is directed to Yahoo but I always use Google as my search engine.
