Hello guys,


yes you heard it right.

Microsoft and Yahoo had joined their hands to defeat the number one position of Google in the world of Internet.

Do you guys think it is possible? I mean Google almost has a traffic of 65 % of the total searches all over the world where as combined yahoo and Microsoft shares only 11% in total.

Hi,

In this recession period it will help Microsoft and Yahoo each other but that does not impact on the Google..as Google has its own world..

there will no major impact on google even on the joint venture on both microsoft and yahoo. there maybe a change on the share traffic percentage but i wont think much.

I never hear it before. But when i read what do you share. I become know this news. Microsoft and yahoo together to defeat google. I think it is not easy. Because almost people in the world already choosing google. Because they feel using google is more better. Like me too.

they can "join" hands, but google is too strong for now.
you see,..is internet explorer, opera, yahoo, ..etc
but even so, google is on first place at search engine!

Well, I don't think it's possible.. Compare the 65% to 11%, it's just too far! So even if they join forces, it is still not that easy to defeat google..

Yahoo and microsoft still far behind google in search engine market. This is same happen on google that trying on taking some software market.

I dont really think that yahoo and microsoft on joining hands also can defeat google in traffic as google have stronghold on web users from all over the world.

Even though they join forces, they still can't defeat the search online giant Google.
From what I know, Google has almost 70% search share from all search engines.

I doubt about that. Google is still leading in the search engine war so why would they take two steps forward if they are already at the end of the road?

Google is known for its creative things every now and then. Google is the KING at the moment. Only time will tell how it goes with yahoo and microsoft.

I will bet that it will not be sooner than 5 years or more. I can see that Google will still be the king in the next years. Plus, Google have better services than Yahoo or Microsoft when it comes to search engines.

On the other side of my head, he's telling me that Microsoft and Yahoo might beat Google. It's just "might". But as long as both Yahoo and Microsoft haven't made things similar to Google and didn't gain more fans, their team-up will likely to fail.

google are very far from the reach of Microsoft and yahoo they will never get closer to google in any way maybe if both make some new invention any new project so people can get attracted to them

Yahoo is the 2nd best search engine next to Google.
A new invention could e good like what happened to Yahoo's new homepage.

As I have said before, from my point of view, Yahoo is like a Portal with a search engine.

google earns 700$ per second where as yahoo earns 200 $ per second this is enough to make google the top

No one there to beat google amazon is next coming site with around 700$ per second

It's a good news that they joined hands.

But I do not think that Google can be defeated by this.

Both have to think about the ranking of Google and how they can defeat them. But the point is that a partnership is not the solution of beating. It is the high thinking which lets defeat.

So if MS and Yahoo remains together they can do defeat not today but after a long years might be 10 or 20 or 30 or more than that.

on my personal opinion, i think if they really want to defeat google, they should stop allowing google links, etc to be posted on their layout or system.

No matter how hard they try, they just cant beat the best search engine which has been around for years now.
Google not only has the best search engine but also some great products like Google earth,blogger and the like.
So i dont think its a piece of cake to surpass google..anyways all the best MicroYahoo

defeating google? umm, never! microsoft and yahoo doesnt have the right amount of impact to boost their users rating ever! who uses bing? - the microsoft's search engine? no one! it will take a lot of years to defeat google. in any way, this competition will bring more quality searches for us.

Well, there are people who uses BING. My blog receives a good amount of traffic from BING.

I just heard about this news last week, and realized that there's really no real enemy in the business world. Microsoft and Yahoo used to be competitors, but they are working together to compete with another leading company in the market.

Well, I suppose it's really not so easy to defeat Google at this time, as Internet users have already used to Google technology and products, especially when Google products are always free. Microsoft and Yahoo keep coming out with new technology and products, but yet the users still prefer to go for Google. But I'd like this news, as more competitions in the market, then it'll benefit the users - us. We'll have better products and possibly at cheaper price or even free?
